Online traders cash in on Susan Boyle's success
TRADERS are cashing-in on the surprise success of Scottish singer Susan Boyle with a range of T-shirts and other merchandise that could become the biggest online sellers this spring.
Just a week after Miss Boyle, from Blackburn, West Lothian, first appeared on reality show Britain's Got Talent, fans can now buy hats, mugs and T-shirts online.
Links to the unofficial merchandise are available from sites being set up in her honour.
People can choose to have Miss Boyle's picture or the song which propelled her to stardom – I Dreamed A Dream – emblazoned on the merchandise.
West Lothian Council has put a link on its website to a recording made by Miss Boyle almost ten years ago. She sang Cry Me A River for a charity CD for the Millennium. It is thought to be her only previous recording.
