Muse, Eminem and Kasabian to headline this year's T in the Park
MUSE, Eminem and Kasabian were today confirmed as headliners for this year's T in the Park music festival at Balado near Kinross.
• Eminem will continue his comeback in Scotland this summer
Scotland's biggest festival, which takes place from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th July, sees a UK exclusive in the form of US rapper Eminem, who will play a Saturday night set.
Leicester rockers Kasabian had already been confirmed to headline the Sunday night, and the other main act, English trio Muse, will play on Friday.
Other chart-topping Americans on the bill include Jay-Z, who headlined Glastonbury in 2008, hip hop act the Black Eyed Peas and New York indie band Vampire Weekend.
Homegrown talent includes T regulars Paolo Nutini, Calvin Harris, Biffy Clyro and The Proclaimers.
Festival director Geoff Ellis said: "Our line-up is already undeniably strong and diverse this year and we've still got lots more up our sleeves to announce.
"Shaping the bill for Scotland's finest and favourite festival is an absolute honour and I can't wait for July 8th when the campsite gates open for the Thursday night campers and the party begins in true T in the Park style.
"I'm delighted with our artist announcements and hope the T in the Park audience has another great weekend to remember!"
Last year around 85,000 revellers went to each of the three days of the music event in Balado, which is run by DF Concerts and sponsored by Tennent's Lager.
Tickets for the festival will go on sale at 9am this Friday.
