La Rue costumes sell for a glam £40,000
AN AUCTION of glamorous costumes worn by the late female impersonator Danny La Rue has fetched more than £40,000.
Rich sequin beading, acres of lam and yards of cascading feathers were in abundance among the 90 outfits which went up for sale at Brick Lane Music Hall in east London, where La Rue regularly performed.
