Dancer Camilla Dallerup quits I'm A Celebrity
DANCER Camilla Dallerup has quit I'm A Celebrity ... after just a matter of days, it was announced today.
• Camilla Dallerup
The Strictly Come Dancing star was struggling with exhaustion over the past few days and had been feeling unwell.
She has been replaced on the ITV1 show by former British heavyweight boxing champ Joe Bugner.
Bugner famously clashed with Muhammad Ali in the 1970s in a bid to win the world title but lost on points.
Earlier this week professional dancer Dallerup had bemoaned the lack of nutrition in the Australian jungle camp, which she said was leaving her exhausted.
She said she was having difficulty summoning the energy to shower.
"It's not eating. Heat, I can deal with. I've got the highest metabolism of anyone I know. I feel useless being here so tired. You can't help anyone," she said.
During scenes screened on the show, Danish-born Dallerup was seen sobbing, telling fellow jungle dwellers: "I feel like I am struggling to speak properly.
"I don't feel like anything. I don't know what I need. I just find it really scary."
The rest of the Celebrity contestants rallied round her offering her sugar to boost her energy levels.
Dallerup has also had difficulties sleeping and at one stage complained that she had muscle spasms in her hand.
Dallerup's departure will be seen in tonight's show as well as her replacement's arrival in camp.
Bugner, 59, left Britain to live in Australia during the late 1970s, at one stage opening his own vineyard. In recent years he also had a spell as an adviser for the Russell Crowe film The Cinderella Man.
Despite retiring in 1977, he returned to the ring again and carried on fighting until 1999, when he was 49, achieving 69 wins during his 83-fight professional career.
Hungarian-born Bugner, who settled in England as a child after fleeing the Soviet invasion, tackled some of the biggest names in the world during his boxing career, fighting Joe Frazier and Henry Cooper as well as Ali.
