Charity thanks fans of Gately for £25k

A CHILDREN'S charity thanked thousands of fans who donated more than £25,000 in memory of the late Boyzone singer Stephen Gately.

Gately, who died in Majorca on 10 October, was a goodwill ambassador for Caudwell Children and his partner Andrew Cowles asked that people donate to the charity instead of flowers, following the pop star's death.
