English curlers have own rink

Have your say

I AM not sure if Anna Burnside was badly advised or failed to read her notes correctly but in 1998, when curling became a medal sport for the second time, the Olympics were at Nagano in Japan and not Calgary (that was 1988); Eve Muirhead’s father is called Gordon (not Thomas); both of her brothers, Thomas and Glen (not just Thomas), were playing in the Scottish Championship finals and a curling team is never “skippered” but is “skipped”.

Also I am glad to say there is no need now for English teams to travel to Scotland to play their championship matches as we have our own rink down in Kent where we have been holding the majority of our championships in recent years.
