Electoral roll deadline set
A DEADLINE has been set for city centre residents to register to vote in the upcoming by-election.
Voters who want to choose the successor for city centre councillor David Beckett have to register to vote or apply for a postal vote by August 3.
The by-election has been called after Cllr Beckett quit to study at Harvard University in the United States.
The election will use the single transferable vote (STV) system. To register to vote or apply for a postal vote people should contact The Electoral Registration Office on 0131 344 2500 or visit www.lothian-vjb.gov.uk.
