Election diary: Watch out - he's got a bun

You might think it would be pretty discouraging being a Labour campaigner at the moment, with the SNP doing so well in the polls.

But morale is being boosted by Labour's new secret weapons: buns lovingly baked by Iain Gray's mum.

Gray has been handing them out to candidates in need of pre-election sustenance.

A particular fan is Ewan Aitken, Labour's candidate in Edinburgh Eastern.
