Election 2010: Leaders debate proves a hit with television viewers
NEARLY 10 million viewers watched last night's live election debate between the three main Westminister party leaders.

The head to head between Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg attracted a peak viewing figure of 9.9 million to ITV1 - a 37 per cent share of the television audience.
The debate began with an audience of 8.8 million at 8.30pm, building to its peak half an hour later.
The audience slid slightly to finish at 9.3 million who watched the final half hour of the debate, which was hosted by Alastair Stewart.
The debate was the first of three, with others over the next fortnight to be screened by Sky and BBC1.
