Students were hungry to dine with Jackson

MICHAEL JACKSON has been chosen as the person students would most like to invite to an event.

The King of Pop was chosen in Queen Margaret University's annual survey, which was carried out before his death. The results were significantly different from last year, when Elvis Presley proved to be the most popular.

Professor Joe Goldblatt, director of the International Centre for the Study of Planned Events at the university, said: "The interesting thing about this survey is that it was carried out in April this year, before Michael Jackson's death."

The survey highlighted Sir Fred Goodwin, former chief executive of the Royal Bank of Scotland, as the least desirable guest to have at an event.
