Student president is in Pole position
A POLISH graduate is celebrating becoming the first Polish student president of a Scottish university
Kasia Bylinska, from Szczecin visited Edinburgh for a holiday in July 2007, and fell in love with the capital and decided to stay. She was able to transfer her degree to Edinburgh Napier University and is now the president of the students' association there.
Ms Bylinska, 22, said: "I came to Edinburgh just for holiday and to earn a bit of money and I absolutely loved it.
"When I was finding out whether I could transfer my studies, Edinburgh Napier said it would be no problem. It shows that Polish people are smart, and can achieve things."
Kasia studied Business Economics and now has a honours Bachelors degree in Economics with Management.
