Staff wave goodbye as flag lowered at college
STAFF at Jewel & Esk College have said a sad farewell to the college's Eskbank campus.
Principal Howard McKenzie lowered the flag for the final time last week. The college will open the doors to its new 55 million twin-campus redevelopment on November 17.
It will retain its Midlothian campus, which will be situated on a site adjacent to the existing college buildings.
Mr McKenzie said: "This land, these buildings have served us and generations before us. It is with a heavy heart and the thrill of expectation that we leave."
