Scottish student numbers go up
THE number of Scottish full-time students accepted on to undergraduate courses around the UK rose by 8 per cent last year,
new figures revealed yesterday. UCAS said that 29,391 Scottish residents were accepted on to courses starting in 2008 at institutions across Britain, compared to 27,218 last year.
