School books crisis for partially sighted

BLIND and partially sighted pupils are struggling to get access to textbooks they can use in their studies, campaigners warned yesterday.

The Royal National Institute of Blind People in Scotland said out of 111 books on the Scottish curriculum, none was in large print and only two in Braille. It has launched a campaign to tackle the shortage, which also exists south of the Border.
