Samantha posts success

A PRESTONPANS teenager has scooped the top prize in a competition to design this year's 3 Harbours Seafood Festival poster.

Samantha Wright , of Grange Road, designed the eye-catching poster using an under-the-sea theme. The 19-year-old, who attends the Pennypit Special Needs Youth Group, fought off competition from 60 other budding artists.

Chris McLeod, 11, from Longniddry Primary, and Sarah Mack, ten, a pupil at Prestonpans Primary, took second and third place respectively.

The festival, which takes place from 28-30 May, celebrates East Lothian's coastal heritage.
