Resolve to get on your bike
HEALTH-conscious people vowing to get fit in 2012 are being asked to cycle from London to Edinburgh for charity.
Friends of the Earth is looking to cash in on people making New Year’s resolutions.
The Big Green Bike Ride travels from Alnwick, Northumberland, and finishes in Edinburgh on May 11 next year, giving prospective cyclists just over four months to train.
But for a more intense challenge, resolution-makers can take part in a six-day cycle ride from London to Edinburgh.
As an added bonus, anyone registering for the bike ride before December 31 will be entered into a competition to win a weekend stay for six people in the Yorkshire Dales.
