Sighthill Primary School pupils with the Poppy Wreath which they made for Remembrance day

SIGHTHILL Primary pupils have chosen to remeber the fallen on Remembrance Sunday by making their own wreath to lay at St Nicholas Church – complete with 140 individual handmade poppies.

The honour of laying the wreath goes to parent Sharon Robertson, whose older son, Lance Corporal Aaron Kelly, 19, is currently seving with 3 Scots in Afghanistan.

Parent Council chair Amanda Campbell said: “It is a lovely gesture.”
