Olympic win for university
HERIOT-WATT University has been recognised by the 2012 Olympic Games for arranging a series of sporting events aimed at inspiring students and staff to get fit.
The university’s Centre for Sport and Exercise was awarded the Inspire mark by the London 2012 Inspire programme.
The programme recognises innovative and exceptional projects that are directly inspired by the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Sport union president Catrin Dickson and exercise development officer Sarah McMahon organised a series of sporting events, running until March 30.
