Old boy Swinney returns to visit new campus
FINANCE secretary John Swinney has officially opened the new Forrester High School.
The school is the latest to be opened in the Capital as part of a 180 million rebuilding programme.
Mr Swinney, a former Forrester High pupil, said: "It gives me great pleasure to return to Forrester High School and see such a fantastic learning environment with modern education facilities. I received an excellent education here and I am glad young people in the community are benefiting from such a great new school." City education leader Marilyne MacLaren said: "Forrester High School will be a great asset, not only as a place to learn and thrive for its pupils, but also as an exciting new community hub, open for local people to use and enjoy."
