NHS pilot plan earns praise
NURSE leaders in the Capital have praised MSPs on their decision to pilot a range of ways to involve the public and patients more in the NHS.
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Scotland, based in Edinburgh, was delighted with this week's decision which means a variety of ways to involve the public in health board decision-making will be tested.
Theresa Fyffe, director of RCN Scotland, said: "The concept of a mutual NHS can only become a reality if patients and the public are truly involved in decisions about the services the NHS delivers."
