NHS Lothian internships up for grabs

School leavers are being offered the chance to apply for paid internships with NHS Lothian.

A dozen are available to those who left school from 2010 onwards, and include positions in finance and procurement, human resources, facilities management and operational management.

Candidates are expected to possess an interest and awareness of the health service and a good general education. Those hired will be paid £7.44 an hour over the course of the six-month fixed-term contract. The deadline for applications is Friday.

The posts have been offered as part of the council-developed Edinburgh Guarantee, which seeks to increase the number of opportunities for young people.
