Meetings to challenge controversial closures
THE first of a series of public meetings on school closures will take place next week.
The proposals for closing Bonnington Primary by Christmas will be discussed at a meeting on Tuesday at the school between 7pm and 9pm.
Another meeting debating the proposals for the Leith school will take place the following evening at the Duncan Place Resource Centre.
Parents of pupils at the under-threat Lismore Primary in Bingham will get their chance to have their say at meetings on September 17 and 18 at Lismore and Niddrie Mill primary schools.
Proposals to close Westburn Primary will be discussed on September 24 at the Wester Hailes school, and on September 30 at Sighthill Primary School.
