Learning centre grows

A COMMUNITY learning centre is set to be extended after the plans were given the green light by council chiefs.

Bosses at the Loanhead Community Learning Centre in Mayburn Walk, Loanhead, put forward a planning application to boost the size of the facility.

The extra rooms would provide more office space for staff and accommodation for additional activities at the centre.

The proposals were approved by Midlothian Council at a recent meeting.
