Education chiefs' Swedish lesson
EDUCATION experts from across Scotland were set to meet in the city today to hear how Sweden has successfully put vocational education into the mainstream.
The conference, produced by MacKay Hannah, was inspired by a report which argued for a much broader approach to vocational education and training if Scotland is to raise its standards and increase the number of pupils staying on at secondary school.
Professor Per Thullberg and Ann Carlson-Ericsson from the Swedish National Agency for Education were due to address delegates at the conference and share details of Sweden's secondary education system.
