£11m medical school revamp
PLANS have been announced for a major redevelopment and extension of one of Scotland’s leading medical schools.
Dundee University is to invest £11 million in an upgrade of the School of Medicine at Ninewells, rated as one of the top performing medical schools in the UK.
Work on the first phase of the development will begin next month, with construction expected to be completed by 2015.
Vice-principal Professor John Connell, head of the College of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing, said: “We are absolutely committed to ensure that we continue to provide the highest quality education for tomorrow’s doctors.”
