Edinburgh Zoo bus design has earned its stripes
A CITY bus painted to look like the black and white stripes of a zebra has come top of a passenger vote.
Lothian Buses asked customers to choose their favourite bus from a range of vehicles painted with animals to promote Edinburgh Zoo.
Almost 1,000 passengers took part in the vote, choosing the zebra design over liveries featuring chimps and penguins.
Iain Coupar, the firm's marketing director, said: "The buses are eye-catching and will encourage more people to leave the car at home."
