East Lothian boy Jack, 7, wins Pride of Britain award

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy from East Lothian who raised almost £30,000 for the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh was honoured at last night’s Pride of Britain awards.

Jack Henderson, from Prestonpans, was named as the Lidl young fundraiser of the year at a gala recognising the country’s bravest citizens.

The young Scot raised funds for the hospital looking after his three-year-old brother by selling his drawings on the online website Jack Draws Anything.

Alice Pyne, 16, from Cumbria, was among other award winners, having convinced 40,000 Britons to become bone marrow donors.
