Drug agency sets targets
A NEW agency to help people with drug and alcohol problems has targeted three main issues for the city to focus on.
The Edinburgh Alcohol and Drug Partnership has set out a strategy aiming to address prevention and education, treatment and recovery, and culture change.
It replaces the old Alcohol and Drug Action Team in the Capital, and involves both NHS Lothian and the city council.
Councillor Paul Edie, the city's health and social care leader, said: "Drug and alcohol misuse brings untold misery to families across the city and this partnership approach is a positive step forward in tackling the problem."
