Drivers hurt in road smash
A MAN and a woman have been taken to hospital after a delivery van and a Mini collided in the Capital yesterday afternoon.
The collision, which took place on Bruntsfield Place close to Holy Corner at around 1.30pm, caused the Mini to mount the pavement before ending up on top of a bollard.
A 59-year-old man, who was driving the white delivery van, suffered an eye injury and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to the Royal Infirmary by ambulance.
The female driver of the Mini was suffering from shock and was also taken to the Royal Infirmary.
