Dozens help Newcraighall gun inquiry

DETECTIVES investigating the shooting of a property developer outside a city gym today said more than 60 people had been spoken to during an operation in West Bryson Road.

Robert Kelbie, 27, was wounded after being shot in the car park of Bannantyne's Health Club in Newcraighall on October 20.

A grey/silver Vectra was seen in the area and police continue to appeal for witnesses who saw the car or driver to come forward. The following morning, a car matching the description was found burnt out in West Bryson Road and two people were captured on CCTV footage fleeing the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Thomas said: "I wish to renew my appeal for anyone who knows anything about the shooting or the burnt-out car to come forward."
