DJ Suzie McGuire is 'expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court in relation to alleged phone threat to ex'

SCOTS DJ Suzie McGuire has reportedly been arrested after allegedly making a phone threat to her ex-husband.

The radio presenter is due to appear in court tomorrow in connection with the incident, it has been reported.

The Daily Record has claimed she was taken into custody following an alleged phone row concerning their daughter with her ex, Derek Mitchell, who was convicted of assaulting Ms McGuire while married.

The former Radio Clyde presenter, 46, now works for online radio station GO.

Last month she announced her engagement to construction firm boss Kevin Irvine.

On Facebook, she said she was delighted to have found happiness again after her abusive marriage to Mitchell.

Accountant Derek Mitchell was convicted of three assaults on her back in 2014.

The newspaper has reported that the DJ had been at the Eaglesham Beer festival near Glasgow earlier on Saturday before making the call.

Her appearance at court is to be on Tuesday due to it being Bank Holiday Monday.
