'Disgust' over cruelty of airgun attack
A THUG who shot two cats in a savage airgun attack has been condemned by the Scottish SPCA for "a disgusting act of cruelty".
The pets, named Welly and Boots, were severely wounded near James Grove, a residential street in Kirkcaldy, Fife. Welly lost an eye and Boots was hit in the shoulder.
The Scottish SPCA said yesterday that it was hoping to find the person responsible.
Senior inspector John Chisholm said: "This was a disgusting act of cruelty towards two young, defenceless cats and we are very keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident."
