Deadly as an arrow but with power to pull

THIS endangered Golden Arrow frog – which contains enough poison to kill 200 humans – is part of a collection attracting interest in the Amazing Amphibians area at the Deep Sea World exhibition in North Queensferry.

The male frog can be seen carrying his tadpoles around on his back, which is perfectly normal behaviour in the wild but an unusual sight in captivity.

Experts at Deep Sea World say it is a sign the frogs are feeling at home in the environment that has been provided for them at the attraction.

The colourful amphibians are native to central and South America.

Deep Sea World hosts Magic Oceans Weekend this Saturday and Sunday, offering visitors the chance to learn about the "magical" creatures of the sea and promising "magical marine tricks".
