Dawe sets out economy goal
THE economy in Edinburgh has to move up a level and start to challenge major European cities, according to the leader of the city council.
Councillor Jenny Dawe also said extra efforts have to go on ensuring social exclusion is tackled successfully.
Cllr Dawe said: "Although Edinburgh's economy has been bucking the trend and is doing well in a UK context, there is a real need to improve our competitive position in Europe and beyond."
