Curran quits post in fight to become MP
THE Labour MSP Margaret Curran has stepped down from her front-bench post at Holyrood as she gears up to try to oust Glasgow East's SNP MP, John Mason, at the next general election.
He beat Ms Curran in a by-election last year, after a 22.54 per cent swing from Labour to the SNP.
