Council uses terror law to spy on family

Dorset: Poole Borough Council has admitted spying on a family using laws to track terrorists to find out if they were really living in a school catchment area.

A couple and their three children were put under surveillance for more than two weeks.

Co Durham: Two men convicted of a murder which inspired the film Get Carter, have failed in a new attempt to clear their names.

Michael Luvaglio and Dennis Stafford failed to convince High Court judges they were the victims of a miscarriage of justice.
