Corrections and clarifications
A STORY in Saturday's Evening News incorrectly stated that the latest statistics showed Edinburgh Royal Infirmary was the worst hospital in Scotland for superbug fatalities.
In fact, with 31 deaths where C. Diff was a factor, ERI came joint third along with Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock, after Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where there were 36 such deaths, and Hairmyres Hospital, East Kilbride, where there were 32. We are happy to correct this error.
