THERE are shades of the star-crossed turn of David Moyes as manager of Manchester United in the abruptly ended three-year tenure of Philip Clarke at Tesco. Like Moyes, whose appointment had the blessing of United legend Sir Alex Ferguson, Clarke was a key lieutenant at Britain’s biggest supermarket group of former chief executive and retailing star, Sir Terry Leahy.
