CliveAid drums up support for MS charity
A HEAVY metal music event will take place at The Hive today to raise funds for a charity which was set up after the original Iron Maiden drummer, Clive Burr, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
CliveAid Edinburgh will feature performances from city bands Engines of Vengeance, Firebrand Super Rock and Junior Priest.
Iron Maiden tribute band, Irn Madein, will also perform.
It is hoped that 3,000 will be raised for the charity Clive Aid, formed in 2004, and of which Mr Burr is the patron.
Around 300 people are expected to turn out to today's event. Doors open at 3:30pm. The event will finish at 10:30pm.
