Clinic to perk up old hospital
THE creation of a new sexual health centre will help restore a historic building to its former glory, says NHS Lothian.
Following the news that the 9 million "one-stop shop" for sexual health will be open by 2010 after planning permission was granted for the former Chalmers Hospital on Lauriston Place, health chiefs said it wouldn't just be patients who would benefit.
David Small, general manager of the Edinburgh Community Health Partnership, said: "This development will sympathetically breathe new life into a historic building."
