'Clean energy can secure jobs'

THOUSANDS of Scottish engineering jobs can be created by investing in "clean energy", a Cabinet minister has claimed.

Energy Secretary Ed Miliband made the comments before addressing an audience in Edinburgh and touring two firms in the region.

He said: "Clean energy will secure thousands of Scottish jobs over the next five years." The Labour minister visited Pelamis Wave Energy in the capital and Bi-Fab in Methil, Fife.
