Care homes in well walk

CARE homes in the Capital have taken part in an initiative to encourage people to do more walking.

Staff and residents at Victoria Manor Care Home in Leith held a “memory walk” last week, with members of the local community encouraged to join in.

Braid Hills Care Home and Pentland Hill Care Home also took part in walking events. They were part of Bupa’s Walk to a Well World campaign.

Victoria Manor Care Home manager Lindsay McCulloch said: “We can all do our bit to promote healthy living, whether that’s building a couple more steps into everyday routines or making sure you walk further than usual.”
