City shooting 'not random'
Detectives said yesterday that the shooting of a man in a city street was "not a random attack".
The 41-year-old was targeted by a man who got out of a black-coloured car and shot the victim near Dale Path in the Bridgeton area of Glasgow at about 8pm on Tuesday.
A member of the public came to the victim's aid and he was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where his condition was described as "serious but stable".
Detective Inspector Graham Cordner said: "From our inquiries so far, we know the man was the intended victim. However, it is totally unacceptable that a man is shot in the middle of the street and in daylight."
