City Apprentice contestant glad to be fired by Sir Alan
LUCINDA LEDGERWOOD today said she was glad to get out of The Apprentice after becoming the latest candidate to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar.
The 32-year-old Edinburgh businesswoman said she was not disappointed to have missed out on the job with the tycoon, dismissing the role as a "sales" position.
Lucinda, 31, from Leith Links – who had never seen the BBC1 show before she applied to be a contestant – was fired a week before the final show in the fourth series.
She criticised the behaviour of the other candidates towards her, saying their actions verged on bullying.
But she said she did not regret going on the show. Sir Alan told Lucinda she was "too zany" when he fired her.
But she said: "The right decision was made. I was pleased to have gone. At that point I'd had enough."
