Church's error
Rev Ian Galloway (Letters, 8 January) is mistaken. Recent claims about the performance of the Chinook helicopter engine control software are not new and the RAF has already told the truth of the matter, so far as it goes.
As the RAF has repeatedly pointed out, there was no evidence of any problems with the engines of the doomed aircraft.
The Church of Scotland is out of its depth and should back off. What business does a religious organisation have commenting ignorantly on an aircraft accident?
