Child abuse laws face overhaul
Civil laws under which victims of historic child abuse are awarded compensation require simplification, said Community Safety Minister Fergus Ewing.
Mr Ewing told MSPs on Holyrood's public petitions committee that the laws were "out-of-date, too inflexible and rigid". He revealed a formal consultation will be launched soon towards an overhaul of the system.
