Charity praises scheme to stub out smoking

AN ANTI-tobacco charity has praised a scheme that rewards youngsters for debating on smoking.

City-based ASH supports the 1,000 prize for the best projects on how to deal with smoking and the related health problems.

The scheme is run by the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS).

Sheila Duffy, ASH chief executive, said: "I'm delighted to support the Crofton Award, recognising young people's contribution towards tackling tobacco."
