Charity hails royal visitor

A CHARITY supporting people with schizophrenia has hailed Princess Anne's visit to its new headquarters as a major step in shaking off the stigma surrounding the condition.

The National Schizophrenia Fellowship welcomed the Princess to open its office in Newington recently and workers said the association of such a high profile figure to help the charity could only be a good thing.

The Princess was presented with a bouquet of flowers by 15-year-old Heather Mann, who was adopted by a close friend of her schizophrenic mother.
