Centre marks Ramadan end
WOMEN and children from diverse communities were brought together for a special celebration.
The successful Eid Milan event, to mark the end of the Ramadan observance for Muslims, was held in Broxburn's Strathbrock Partnership Community Centre recently.
The event was aimed at promoting inter-cultural and inter-faith understanding and respect.
Councillor Isabel Hutton, the council's social policy leader, was guest of honour and said: "I was delighted to have been invited to say a few words at such an important event. In my estimation, over 300 women and children attended and witnessed a spectacular fashion show."
