Celtic fans unveil banner in tribute to murdered Paige Doherty

CELTIC fans have created a banner in memory of murdered Clydebank teenager Paige Doherty.

Written in large green letters, the supporters’ who made the “RIP Paige” banner intend to display it when the Hoops’ face Hearts on Saturday 2nd April.

It is just one of many tributes paid to the 15-year-old after police confirmed her death earlier this week.

Family friends set up two GoFundMe pages to help her family with funeral expenses, while Clydebank’s iconic Titan Crane was lit up in pink lights on Thursday evening in her memory.

The youngster’s body was found on Monday dumped in bushes on Great Western Road - a busy thoroughfare between Clydebank and Glasgow - after she went missing on Saturday morning on her way to work.

A 31-year-old man was arrested by police in connection with her death on Thursday evening and is expected to appear in court tomorrow.
